Revision of the European, North-African and Central Asian species of the genus Norbanus Walker 1843 (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae)

The European, North-African and Central Asian species of the genus Norbanus Walker are revised, providing an illustrated key to males and females of all the species. Three new synonymies are proposed: Norbanus globulariae (Szele´nyi 1941) 5 Norbanus giordanii (Ferrie`re 1952), n. syn.; Norbanus meridionalis (Masi 1922) 5 Norbanus mordellidarum Dzhanokmen 1999, n. syn.; Norbanus obscurus (Masi 1922) 5 Norbanus erdoesi (Szele´nyi 1974), n. syn. Both sexes of N. guyoni are redescribed, and its type locality clarified. A new host record together with distributional data are given for nine out of ten valid species.

Skala Niesprawności Neurologicznej Szpitala Guy (GNDS, The Guy’s Neurological Disability Scale) jest istotnym narzędziem służącym do pomiaru niepełnosprawności u osób ze stwardnieniem rozsianym. Służy ona do określenia poziomu funkcjonowania w dwunastu ważnych obszarach. Celem obecnych badań było opracowanie polskiej wersji językowej skali GNDS i sprawdzenie jej trafności, rzetelności oraz przydatności do oceny niepełnosprawności występującej u osób ze stwardnieniem rozsianym. Grupę badaną stanowiło 175. pacjentów z rozpoznaniem stwardnienia rozsianego. A magically nice guy: Parasocial relationships with Harry Potter across different cultures

2011

This study explored parasocial relationships (PSRs) with Harry Potter that readers from different cultures have developed. An overall sample of 2551 Potter fans from Germany (individualistic culture) and Mexico (collectivistic culture) completed an online questionnaire assessing their parasocial relationship with the character. Fans from the collectivistic culture rated Potter’s sociability higher than fans from the individualistic culture. For fans from both cultures, social attraction turned out as most important determinant of PSRs with Potter, while homophily ranked lowest.
